TBS6281 device won't start
Posted: Sat Apr 16, 2022 9:00 pmI have two TBS6281 dual DVB T2/T/C pcie cards.
I have a new motherboard, MSI Z490-A PRO, with the latest BIOS.
I have found that the TBS cards will work when installed in the X16 PCIE slot, but when fitted to the X4 slot or a X1 slot, the device manager reports "device won't start".
MSI support are unhelpful, telling me to reset the BIOS to default settings, then saying that it's the card that is too old, and TBS support suggesting I change BIOS settings, but not what settings to change.
I have tried changing the PCIE speed to GEN1, and tried varying all other parameters associated with PCIE, tried all available drivers, but still see "device won't start" for the card in the PCIEx1 slot.
Has anyone got any suggestions of 1) any specific BIOS settings to try 2) Any way to get MSI or TBS support to give me some real help.
