TBS6281 on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS

Hi,

I recently bought a pair of TBS6281 DVB-T/T2 cards and I have now installed one of them in my server at home. The installation went fine, but I had to delete the contents of the "media"-folder in /lib/modules/3.13.0-34-generic/kernel/drivers/media/ at first. The problem that I have now is that I cannot tune in any DVB-T2 channels at all. If I remove the cable to my antenna and put it in my TV and scan I find the channels without any problems.

Isn't it possible to use both DVB-T and DVB-T2 at the same time?

I have the same problem in openSUSE 13.1
It doesn't tune and besides it has not scanned all the channels.

Today I have downgrade the linux kernel to:

As you can see it doesn't return the name of various channels.
If I tune and save the stream:
tzap -r -x -c .tzap/channels.conf "Telecinco"
dvbstream 203 303 -o > /store/test.mpeg

The video is corrupted.
The antenna is ok (I try the same wire with the TV).
I don't know if it's a hardware(I bought it at buydvb.net, the worst seller I have ever met) or driver problem.

I realize there is a new driver version v141019.
I have tested it with the same result (kernel 3.17.1-3.gd944251-desktop).
It doesn't scan well and the resulting video of dvbstream is corrupted.

The reply is a bit late. But I tried once again today and while I did that I also took the time to upgrade the drivers. Still the same result. The DVBT-2 mux is at 570000, but nothing.

When I use s_scan etc I cannot find ANY DVB-T2 channels but if I plug the same antennacable to a external DVB-T2 box is works directly. Here is my w_scan result.

Hello

It seems that we have exactly the same problem but I'm using the TBS6285 Quad card.

Can't lock on 570 MHz (Brudaremossen) using T2 mode. Also have LTS 14.04. Have you find any solution ? I have tested many things:

1) Attenuators in front of the card if there is an "overload", Doesn't help...
2) Used an spectrum analyzer to check any interfering signal from motherboard etc, didn't find any...

My old TBS6284 works perfekt on 570 MHz and my PCTV290e as well.

EDIT:
Connected my USB TBS5881 and it works perfect on 570 MHz (T2)...


Is the the hardware or software ? I think we need help from TBS support !!! Otherwise I will return my 6285.
