I'm trying use TBS5980 to watch pay channels of Cyfrowy Polsat. I have Premium package (full), CAM module and card.
Unfortunately is not works well. I "can watch" encrypted channels, but with some troubles:
1) It's very unstable - sometimes works sometimes not (mostly not).
2) When works, a lots of artifacts appear on to video output (and make it unwatchable).
The artifacts shows on encrypted and FTA channels.
The artifacts shows only when CAM module (with card ofcourse) is inserted. Without CAM module FTA channels works well.
I tested it on several different machines on Linux (Arch Linux x64_86), MS Windows 8.1 and MS Windows 7 (with Service Pack 1) - always with the same results.
I use last posible drivers nad software from your web site.
I checked power supply voltage - is above 7.5 V (on idle and when tuner is tuned to some encrypted channel), so is not to weak power supply problem.
I made tests on different sat sets (different wires, concerters (LNB) and dishes), to exclude weak signal problem - stile with thesame results.
Meybe the TSB5980 hardware is broken and exchange is necesary?
I buyed my tuner from polish distributor dvb24.pl (I live in Poland).
I have no idea to resolve this problem - please help.
