IR Receiver stops recordings

Hi,

I've got a TBS 5922SE connected to a mac mini running as a slave mythtv backend and a frontend. I was using the 5922SE IR receiver but I've found this causes the dvb adapter to stop working. It varied but every 4-24 hours the adapter would stop recording and I'd get this from szap:

Sometimes this would show in syslog:

It occurred on the non loopback adapter as well (but using the open source driver - I didn't test the tbs driver).

I forget the source but, after a lot of searching, I found it mentioned that covering the IR receiver with some tape might help. Since doing this about a week ago the problem has not reoccurred. I'm now using a separate IR receiver and all is working great.

Since I had such a hard time searching and resolving this problem, I wanted to post here in case it helps someone else.
