TBS6284 Stops working in Ubuntu

Hi,

I don't quite have all the details to hand listed under the "How to report problems" thread but wonder if anyone can help me with the info I've got to hand (can add the extra when I'm home).

Last night I installed the TBS6284 into a clean Ubuntu 12.10 system and installed the v130127 drivers.

I started up Mythbackend and succesfully scanned 101 channels. Started up mythfront end and tuned to channel 1 successfully. Close Myth.

This morning I started up Myth frontend and it now can't access the tuners.

In dmesg there are a few
"tbs62x0fe: tuner not responding - init" and
"tbs62x0fe: tuner not responding - tune"

Kernel is 3.5.0-17 and it is a 64 Bit OS.

I have also had this problem in the past on a Ubuntu 12.04 system - the cards are fine when the computer starts up but after sometime they stop responding which makes them unusable in my 'always on' system.

Any advice on what I can do/check?

Both myself and a collegue at work had similar issues, the problem appears to have gone away when I upgraded to the drivers released in January, I upgrade the kernel at the same time as the drivers so it may have solved it. Have you tried more recent drivers?

Also could it be this issue viewtopic.php?f=52&t=7631#p24903
