Latest TBS-5520SE drivers cause Mythbackend to go <defunct>

Hi, I had mythtv working quite happily with a TBS-5520SE until I rebuilt the drivers for a newer kernel version, since that point each time I try and use mythtv the backend drops into a <defunct> state. No sorry, I have not used the TBS-5520SE with Windows, only linux.

My bad, had updated from \ 4.4.0-78-generic to 4.4.0-79-generic and had been running the instructions from here: https://github.com/tbsdtv/linux_media/wiki from the section: Upgrading sources and re-installing. But that just kept building new 4.4.0-78-generic driver versions. Deleting media & me...

TBS-5520SE /dev/dvb/adapter0 gone missing

Had a TBS-5520SE for a couple of weeks, and other than a little teething trouble with Mythtv assuming there is a a demux1 if you use frontend1 it's been working a really well! However last night I rebooted and /dev/dvb/adapter0 has vanished. Can someone give me some pointers as to what to check? I'm...
