Re: Try same or different?

Hi! oh no Satesco, you got me wrong. I didn't say it was bad luck buying a TBS6590 card, I ment it was bad luck to buy particuraly that very card. I tell you why. It was probably the first card that was made an early monday morning after a very wet weekend with several holiday parties on a row. My c...

Try same or different?

Hello. - I decided a while ago to purchase two new cards to replace our indeed very good TBS 6618's. We decided to give 6590 a try, a single card but with dual tuners on it. I liked the idea of saving a PCI-e lane but mostly I like the multi-standard because we don't know what kind of signal we soon...

Re: TBS6590 and Windows 10

Hello. I'm not sure if you've seen it yourself, but the new beta of the tbsciapi.dll now also puts CI functionality into our TBS6590 cards. It can be found in this thread, page 80. When using MP, the only thing that differs from before when using two single cards, is that you can no longer leave the...

Re: TBS6590 and Windows 10

I purchased a TBS6590 myself now, I got it today but sadly I got the same result as you, it doesn't work with the same CA modules that I currently use with a pair of TBS6618. Straaange...However, it looks like a couple of guys working with MP noticed this and from what I understand the next MP updat...

Re: Not enough bandwidth. Possible stunts?

Case closed. It shouldn't be a question about insufficient bandwidth since TBS clearly states that PCIe v3 with a x1 lane is all it takes to make a TBS DVB card to breath with ease. And it isnt', because they can. But not with the motherboard I use. At least as long as you don't manually make change...

Not enough bandwidth. Possible stunts?

I have two TBS6618 that I have to transfer to a motherboard with only one PCIe v3x4 slot free, the rest of the free slots are of the type PCIe v3x1. From my experience, the PCIe v3x1 lacks of sufficient bandwidth. It takes as a minimum v3x4 to get the cards to work. My question is, are there any stu...

Re: TBS6590 and Windows 10

I have to ask, are you sure you have the CA module correctly inserted? If not, the DVB card will still work as intended and you will not be notified that it has been inserted 'upside down'. On top of that, the same goes for the personal program card you insert into the CA module, no notification if ...

Re: TBS6590 and Windows 10

Hello Folke-farsan. I suppose it's the v1.22 of MediaPortal you're talking about when re-installing? The version released april 28? Versions prior to that doesn't have mm1352000 's patch for the CI functionality included in the setup, it has to be added manually and downloaded from here . I haven't ...
