What is the status of this "new" unit that I am paying attention to. Orei has as discontinued their frame conversion until so if I burn it out there will be no work around.[list=][/list]

This is resolved with the new firmware. However the onvif client failed to pull the main and 2nd encoding URLs. The most you can do is set the time and the network config (Ip settings). For example, Synology Surveillance Station discovered the devise but failed to set the encoding URL.

This is resolved. If this ever happens to you, you will need a local instance of Linux (or Ubuntu 16.04) to replace a file on the encoder. It's a bit involved so it's best to setup a TeamViewer session so TBS support can do this for you.

I accidentaly updraded my TBS2604 to 1.1.96 (which was meant for the TBS2603). Now nothing works, no surprise, but I can still get into the GUI. I'm trying to upgrade the firmware to 1.0.17 but I get to 100% and it doesn't give me the message that it has been upgraded. Any thoughts on how I can get ...

What is the Onvif discovery port for the TBS2604?

I did find an alternative to adding this feature. Orei makes a pretty inexpensive $129 (HDMI 2.0b 18Gbps) scaler with frame conversion! It will take 4k60 and downscaled to 4k30, 4k50, and 4k25. Is there any way to make this support 4k60 input, but still only encode 30fps. This would make interoperability with most content much easier. Essentially, support HDMI 2.0 EDID and input.
