6205 Failed (maybe temp related)

We have had a 6205 fail in an interesting manner after about a year of flawless operation. There are black scorch marks on the card and one of the capacitors (I think that is what is it) is blown off and was found in the bottom of the chassis! Luckily it did not damage the server which is fine again...

Multistream

We have 6905 card but are unable to use multistream (MIS) transponders (such as on the 13E and 5W satellites). When asking for the frontend capabilities of the card it does not indicate that it supports multistream (FE_CAN_MULTISTREAM) is not set. Hence we get no lock when actually tuning to a trans...

Re: Issue after reboot with 6205

Turned out in the end to be the card. A replacement card worked perfectly across reboots.

Re: Card identification

The information is part of Linux. I think they update from the list found here:-

http://pciids.sourceforge.net

(the vendor '544d' does not exist in the current list)

Re: Issue after reboot with 6205

Hello, we have tried the card on another identical server (and identical motherboard) and have the same issue. Our BIOS version is the same as yours - 2.15.1234 and UEFI version "IMS-180 P1.30" (see *1 photo below). We have also done a BIOS reset ("Load UEFI Defaults") (see *3 ph...

Re: Issue after reboot with 6205

2 pictures linked below. The server normally has a pci-e riser card fitted, but we have been testing with the 6205 card plugged directly into the blue pci-e slot on the motherboard. https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code=XZUeuXZipWLGvWBUffmVGsGM86WDXec666k https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code=XZ...
