Re: questions about TBS6902

Thank you crazycat. So is that a "yes" to all of my questions? Also, since computers have 12V power supplies, how can a computer send 13V/18V to the LNB? (It is 13V/18V, right?)

questions about TBS6902

It says it has two tuners. The card appears to have two connectors. Are they BOTH for LNB in? So one could be a KU LNB and the other a C LNB? Does this card provide power to the LNB? And if I have two LNBs input, one to each connector, does it power BOTH LNBs? Is there a LINUX driver? I would use my...

TBS6925 doesn't work. What to do?

I've tried it in Linux and Windows. I've run a FULL blind scan on satellite G19 so there should CERTAINLY be some hits, right? Nada. Here's my setup: 10' BUD. Ku and C-band LNBs. The dish/LNBs/RG-6 and everthing else works. I can get clear NTSC channels (what few there are) on my DSR-922. I use the ...

Re: Linux drivers for TBS6925 (again)

I found all kinds of usability apps for Linux. As I said, the card came with a bunch of Windows apps. But guess what: THE CARD DOESN'T WORK.

Re: Linux drivers for TBS6925 (again)

OK. I followed the instructions at : http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/TBS6925#Drivers

and it worked. Now I need some good aps for scanning, viewing, recording, tuning, etc. They've got all kinds of aps for Windows, so, what do I use here in Ubuntu?

Linux drivers for TBS6925 (again)

OK, so I got the TBS6925. An install disk came with it that has the Linux drivers (and supposedly some software). Whereas with Windows you can see which file is the driver installation, I simply can NOT figure out which file(s) are meant for my card not how to install the Linux driver for this card....

Re: TBS6928 and paytv

Thanks updatelee, so, what about the question regarding the quote regarding paytv: "On Linux platform, you can also watch paytv by using correct software." What does that mean? Which software? does it mean I don't need the CAM/card, and just the software?

TBS6928 and paytv

Quote from product overview: "On Linux platform, you can also watch paytv by using correct software." Anyone know what this means? My computer runs Linux and want to make sure I have the correct software. I am in the U.S. Also, if you have any other info I'd appreciate knowing how to set i...

Re: Can it do C/Ku, 4:2:0, 4:2:2, etc?

Regarding the other connector on the 6925, so it can't be used to plug into the coax (modulated) input of a TV or a VCR or DVD recorder? Are you saying it is simply a pass-thru?
