Re: TBS6280 - no TV hdmi sound output from graphics card.

OK, this is SOLVED. Again I'm not sure exactly what the solution was. A lot of tinkering with pulseaudio (removed and re-installed) and same with pavucontrol. After all the messing with pulseaudio I had to select HDMI output 4 in pavucontrol. Then for some reason I get sound! I really wish I could s...

Re: TBS6280 - no TV hdmi sound output from graphics card.

I see this error when trying to play TV through VLC. Not sure if it's relevant. [email protected]:~$ aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 7: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]...

Have to modprobe module again after suspend

I just switched on my PC after it was suspended for a few hours. I tried to watch tv again using VLC but it refused to work. I had to modprobe -r saa716x_tbs_dvb then modprobe saa716x_tbs_dvb. After that it worked fine. Is it possible to not have to do this? Should it not play OK even after suspend?...

Re: TBS6280 not working in Arch Linux x86_64

I'm going to mark this as SOLVED. So what was the solution? Well I don't really know... I couldn't get the driver to load (as above) so I moved the card to another PCIe slot. That appeared to work but ONLY with the onboard sound and made my Audigy PCI sound card invisible. I moved the 6280 back to i...

Re: TBS6280 not working in Arch Linux x86_64

I tried your suggestions but nothing worked :( grep saa716x_tbs_dvb /etc/modprobe.d/* returns nothing. All that's in that directory is an alsa conf file. When I begin the make, I see this: [email protected]:~/Desktop/tbs6280/linux-tbs-drivers$ make -j5 make -C /home/john/Desktop/tbs6280/linux-tbs-drive...

SOLVED TBS6280 - no TV hdmi sound output from graphics card.

This is probably a bit of a long shot but here goes... I have my TBS6280 sitting alongside a Zotac GT210 graphics card in a HP N40L microserver. I intend using this as a Ubuntu HTPC if I can get it going. The problem I'm having is that I can get pictures from the Tv card from the HDMI output of the ...

Re: TBS6280 not working in Arch Linux x86_64

Cody thanks for the reply. I have temporarily moved the card to a Ubuntu HP N40L Microserver (where it will eventually stay). I have it working in that ok but no HDMI sound from it through a GT210 graphics card. I guess that's an issue for another thread. I will update this thread when I move the ca...

How is the Linux driver currently?

Hello all. I was considering getting a TBS6280 to install in a HP n40L Microserver. I've been reading around and am not too sure of the current state of the Linux driver. Is it now capable of switching between T/T2 seamlessly? Is the overall picture quality good? I must say that I am really impresse...
