Yes, only run the build the first time.

After that just "make"

Re: drivers for 5980 qbox usb CI do not compile

I feel your pain, these drivers are a science experiment at best. Anyway, what I had to do was this. git clone https://github.com/tbsdtv/media_build.git cd media_build ./build --main-git make install If the build process coughs an error along the way, edit the v4l config file like this nano media_bu...

Re: Finally the TBS5990 on linux

I have the TBS5990 working on the Raspberry Pi III. I used the minimal Raspbian build with the kernel headers on 4.4.50--v7+ Use the following http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/document/linux/media_build-0119.tar.bz2 It will build ok, and both frontends will appear. Create /etc/modprobe.d/cx231xx.conf ...

Re: TBS Linux Driver is updated to v160919.

Thanks Peter,

I had downloaded the drivers v160919 mentioned earlier in this thread. Anyway the updated link you provided worked fine. You should make this the default download on the website.

Cheers

Re: Will drivers compile on Raspberry Pi?

No TBS5990 will not compile on Raspberry Pi 3. It seems that even TBS stopped supplying their special matrix arm PC (Buydvb.net) which worked with this, so your only option is an old x86 PC, until TBS decide to release a binary which supports the world's most popular mini PC.

Re: Transcoding

I use Subsonic to transcode live TV from TVheadend from the MOI, it works great. I have Subsonic running on a old dual core laptop, which of course uses ffmpeg for the transcoding.
