To close this thread I will make my last post. Their is no solution to my problem. Since TBS installs its own v4l tree it installs different versions of lots of files and drivers including dvb-core which does not work when you install other hardware that needs compiling. ie.. hdhomerun. After installing dvbhdhomerun and the ivtv drivers tvheadend will not see either of them in the config. It will ONLY see the 4 TBS 6985 adapters and my hdhomerun and PVR 500 is not listed. What I did was this but then again it installed all the drivers in the tree. That's not want I want. I ONLY want the drivers that is NEEDED for this card to function not every single driver from the TBS product line. Make config works but make menuconfig does not.

I will give this another try. I hope it does not messup my dvbhdhomerun setup and my itv pvr500 drivers. I will make a clone image before I try to compile/install again. I will post my results.
