Re: Using Wi-Fi in MatrixTV

Hi Fedork,
When you power on your Matrix you will get a MatrixTV splash screen. When you see this, press the spacebar (or perhaps any key works, I can't remember). You will then see setup options, configure your wifi there.
Hope that helps...

Re: Installing latest version of XBMC

Hi Alan, From my understanding it is not as simple as just installing the latest XBMC. The Matrix requires a special build due to it's graphics card (i.MX6). You can apparently compile yourself from http://github.com/xbmc-imx6. However I have no idea what this involves. I read elsewhere on this site...

Matrix Failure

After just over a week of happily using my new Matrix, I came down this morning to find it not working. Nothing comes up on the TV after a reboot and it is not pingable from my laptop. I thought I would try reloading the OS (MatrixTV latest version) however it sits on the Jumping to OS image message...

Re: External USB harddisk question

Update, left XMBC running, went to the supermarket and when I got back both disks were idling.
So either hpdarm worked despite the error message or the drives go into idle after some period anyway....
Bottom line is that they're not going to be spinning all night so I'm a happy chappy.

Re: External USB harddisk question

Just found this on a Linux site : DESCRIPTION hdparm provides a command line interface to various kernel interfaces supported by the Linux SATA/PATA/SAS "libata" subsystem and the older IDE driver subsystem. Many newer (2008 and later) USB drive enclosures now also support "SAT" ...
