I am trying to play an HD movie with VLC in this board and it is extremely slow. I would like to get some help to understand the issue.

Is it possible to use the debug image of 14.04 with this version of the board?

I was able to install and boot from this given image without any issues.

to be able to work on my project, I would want to upgrade the system to 14.04, so I tried issuing a do-release-upgrade -d. But this fails ofter some time.
