Re: Good News,Open source code for TBS Card has been release

@iridium,
thanks for your help.
To use "zap utilities" could be help, but I'm not sure to get a new time issue with the started VDR.
I hope there is a possibility to fix this directly in the new open source driver!

My boot time with new driver is significant longer

. I have found a small issue with a significant longer boot time, if I use the new open source driver! Since I used the new open source driver I detect that the time from the GRUB bootscreen to the first TV picture are longer as with the "old" linux-tbs-driver. My boot time with the old tb...

Re: Good News,Open source code for TBS Card has been release

. @crazycat, you are right and I found the reason for all my trouble with the TBS6205 with DVB-C and QAM256! My TBS6205 isn't broken and the tbs-driver works good. Since 2 days I haven't any errors or issues with my TBS6205 under DVB-C (QAM256) and all things work perfect! :D :D :D What have...

Re: Good News,Open source code for TBS Card has been release

i think this cross-interference btw tuners or demods Si2157/2168 drivers used same for 6205. T230 and many more devices. My only question now is: Is there a chance to fix my issue/error with a new driver version? Do you work on that? Or think you that my TBS6205 card is broken? What's your opinion?...

Re: Good News,Open source code for TBS Card has been release

. @crazycat, in my old stuff I found a broadband amplifier (+10dB) and with this amplifier I get a higher STR level, the SNR level will be approx. the same: Without amplifier -> STR = 55% __ SNR = 70% With amplifier -----> STR = 65% __ SNR = 73% But the receiving errors and issues (only with the QAM...

Re: Good News,Open source code for TBS Card has been release

@crazycat, the "MyGica T230" has for all channels (QAM64 or QAM256) approx. a STR = 70% and a SNR = 70% . And with the "TBS6205" I get over all channels approx. a STR = 55% and a SNR = 70% . I don't know if we can directly compare these values, but at the other side, I haven't an...

Re: Good News,Open source code for TBS Card has been release

. @crazycat, I've made some tests with my TBS6205 and I found out that only channels with QAM256 have an receiving issue! All channels/transponders with QAM64 have no issues or errors! I changed some receiving parameters in my VDR channels.conf without any success and I get only errors with channels...

Re: Good News,Open source code for TBS Card has been release

. @crazycat, I've got some new results with the "new open source driver" and I think my receiving errors are not only an issue of the driver ! :? It seems as if that will be an issue with my used parameters in my VDR channels.conf and/or the new open source driver! I've tested today some t...

Re: Good News,Open source code for TBS Card has been release

. @steven, I've looked in the datasheet for the used tuner and demodulator ICs and found that these ICs have a relative high power consumption level for this small ICs. The tuner Si2157 has app. 0.5W power consumption and the demodulator Si2168 has app. 0.2W by DVB-C and 0.4W by DVB-T2. I think that...

Re: Good News,Open source code for TBS Card has been release

. Additional comment: My TBS6205 will be very hot at the IC for tuner (Si2157-30) and demodulator (Si2168-B40). My HTPC case is not to small, but next to the TBS6205 is my passive Nvidia GT630 grafic card and the TBS6981. The Nvidia GT630 and also the TBS6981 are not so hot like the TBS6205! I have ...
