Re: Problem running 2 6902 on Debian Stretch

All is good running two 6902 on Ubuntu 16.04 using open-source driver. Perhaps hardware or a Stretch problem? Your goal is to see something like this before you even start TVheadend: david@Willow300:~$ dmesg | grep frontend a15a463127cf860fb6ec8d23e526ee53aa3b0c06 dvb-usb-dvb: Fix second frontend de...

Re: WARNING: filter timeout pid

I do not know the answer. However to troubleshoot, two things I would try independently: 1) Change "hiband" to normal kuband in the adapter settings. 2) Figure out why you are getting "DVB-S IF freq is 1529000" when you typed in "29700000".

Re: Driver installation remove support of other DVBT/S cards

Which DVBT USB device do you have? Often there is a "Readme" file for devices that have an extra procedure to install the driver. Cleaning out the old media directory usually does not prevent two or three different devices being installed (at the same time) with the latest driver package.

Re: TBS6905 and what hardware for transcoding

Install Cat 6 in your house. All my RG6 coax has been replaced by Cat 6 for the same system you have described.

Re: 6909 not scanning/working properly TVheadend

The reason I suggest manual entry is because the vertical TPs I see in your log are scrambled or are out of date when I reference them to Lyngsat. In Canada/USA there are about five commonly used types of LNBs. The three types I use are the C-band lnb (3 metre dishs), ku 10750 lnb (1.0 metre dishes)...

Re: 6909 not scanning/working properly TVheadend

Interesting! In your log it looks correct but your system does not see a satellite signal. Using your set-up, I get the same log output and I know Astra satellite is not on my side of planet earth. My next step would be to focus on receiving one vertical TP that you know is "Free to Air" a...

Re: 6909 not scanning/seeing Vertical Signals

Check your cabling to that on the guide. I have found that vertical polarity does better on input ports 0 and 1 while horizontal does better on ports 2 and 3

Re: 6909 issue - 1 tuner not working?

I suspect you have a set-up problem. Your set-up of TVH looks different that what I have, but I am in Canada. Try the following: In the "Sat config" drop-down menu where you have "4-port switch", change that to "Advanced (non-universal LNBs, rotors, etc.)". Press "...

Re: Diseqc switching issue with multiswitch

Without any real knowledge of your switches or software you are using, I once made the error of using "uncommitted" diseqc commands when I should have used "committed" diseqc commands.

Re: Sorry Oscam Question

Bigger dishes. S2 signals, more so than S1 signals, can be sensitive to rain or snow fade. A bigger dish will compensate. If you do not loose the signal, you will have solved the problem. If you are using a rotor, eliminate it. A fix dish will pull in a stronger signal as it can be tweaked perfectly...
