Re: write software

I don't really know C# but searching Google it appears as if there are ways to interface c++ api's

I've never done it obviously so I have no idea how easy it is.

Re: write software

I believe CrazyCat has an API you can use. I dont use C# so really not sure. Is that a subset of C/C++ ?

You can use my drivers in Linux, C for the kernel API then whatever you want for the UI, I use C++ but others use C for that as well.

Re: Error in installing TBS6985 driver on Linux

look in /boot for your current config and copy it to that folder. Honestly though Id be surprised to see it compile. 2.6.32 is quite old (almost 5 years), might be time to upgrade your kernel.

Re: Transcoding 30 Channels

bitrate will be more of a factor. Ive never tried to transcode multiple streams at once but I hear nvidia is quite good at it.

Re: TBS6991SE & Digital Devices Cine S2

The DD CineS2 probably uses a driver that TBS doesn't have in their tree.

I'm not sure what tuner/demod are used in the 6991se. It shouldn't be to hard to add support for open source for it. Unfortunately it's a $185 card, kinda out of my budget to pick one up just to add support.
