Re: Firmware V2.0

Hi SergioDanielG, you are right in saying that there are some other DVB-receivers with RS232-interface. However, those are standalone devices based on a very old-fashioned concept and the outdated idea of working totally autonomous. The MOI is supposed to be modern network device, since in most of t...

Re: Firmware V2.0

Hi SergioDanielG, thanks for the hint and also the video. I bought the cable (and also the USB-to-COM-Adapter) just for the purpose of updating the MOI. The Cable was adverstised as a "Modem Cable". However, it looks like I have to try another one then. However, I hope that TBS will find a...

Re: Firmware V2.0

Hi SergioDanielG, following your advice I set Speed from 9600 to 115200. All other settings are the same that I already used before (besides the name of my COM-Port is COM1). But nothing happens. Termin-Window is empty and I cannot enter anything. What am I supposed to receive when I open up the Ter...

Re: Firmware V2.0

Hello, tried to update to 2.0 using the outlined procedure. But connecting the RS232-Cable to the MOi and starting a Terminal-Session through Tera Term brings up just an empty screen with no input possible. I tried restarting the MOI with and without the SD-card (containg the update-fies), but it di...

Re: [SOLVED] MOI Setting - Time Zone - Time / Date

Hi marcelp1, thank you very much! That seemed to work. I now have: date = current time date -u = current time minus 2 hours The TZ-File now shows the following content: CET-1CEST My remaining questions are: 1. Will time stay synchonrized (e.g. sync with internet-clock) or will the clock run slowely ...

Re: [SOLVED] MOI Setting - Time Zone - Time / Date

Hello marcelp1, thanks for your reply. I now set back the TZ-file to "MST7MDT" (the standard-value) and rebooted the MOI, to be axactly at the position I started with. Then I tried the steps you just outlined with Putty, but after "./tzfix 1 1" I am getting the message "Acce...

Re: [SOLVED] MOI Setting - Time Zone - Time / Date

Actually I did not really get your solution and the steps outlined by marcelp1 did not work for me. I tried SSH-connection via WinSCP (Terminal Windows) and Putty, but was not able to download the TZfix-file via wget. So I did it manually from the other link and inserted the file then via WinSCP. Wh...

Re: [SOLVED] NFS mount

Hey Giblets, thanky you very much! That works. I first tried it directly with putty and now added it to the "S99tv"-file (trying to create I separate file fpr the mapping did not work; TVheadend did not seem to load it after reboot; but integrating it into the S99-File keeps the mapping ev...

Re: [SOLVED] NFS mount

Sounds good. Thanks in advance! Btw: Linux still is a mystery to me. When do I have to use "//" in front of the IP and when do I need to put ":" behind it? The command you offered shows no "//" but the ":", the command I use on my XBMC-PCs (working just fine) ...

Re: [SOLVED] NFS mount

Thanks again for your reply. I have a QNAP TS412. For the Folder "TV-Recordings" I have already set permissions (read/write) to "anybody". But it does seem to require a username and password anyway. At least it does when I access it from my XBMC-PCs as well as from my Windows-PCs...
