I will look into u-boot to make it really universal. That would be extremely useful, if it can be done. However, like you, my intended use for these boxes is to run xbmc/kodi, preferably as OpenELEC. How do you boot matrixtv from SD card on matrix v1? Because using original u-boot will not work because it's incompatible with openelec.
