Re: problem watching sport with TBS6981

hi Andrew, all video and audio stream processing is done entirely by your computer, i.e. CPU and video card together with the software codecs used for that - your 6981 card just receives those TV data as data stream and pass them for processing - a lot like WiFi network card and when download data f...

Re: Continuity Counter Errors

unfortunately, there's nothing that can be looked more into it - your analysis is fine, but the main point is that no such error in the DMA occurs on any of our test computers, nor there are other customers described something like that. also, apparently changing number of transfer packets doesn't h...

Re: TBS6280 not working in Arch Linux x86_64

you need to do: # sudo rm -rf /lib/modules/3.7.10-1-ARCH/kernel/drivers/media/ then reinstall the driver and then do: # grep saa716x_tbs_dvb /etc/modprobe.d/* to check if there are no some wrong options set for 'saa716x_tbs_dvb' module, because what you get: odprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'saa716x...

Re: TBS6618 - does not work with linux driver under Ubuntu 1

i'm glad to hear about the progress, actually it sounds from your report it's full workaround. however, it's still not very clear to me why 'w_scan' fails in such way from your side - i mean for me that's still open question and i will investigate and if necessary in the next driver release include ...

Re: Continuity Counter Errors

what you're describing sounds to me like insufficient data-transfer performance of your computer system - i mean what works fine as size of the transferred data chunks in general case is not working fine on your computer. so, saying in other words - if the problem occurs only when you use all 4 adap...

Re: Windows 8 support and Debian Wheezy

hi, your logs in Linux seem fine - no errors. so, what happens if you run:

#gnutv -cammenu

can you access the menus of your CAM module in that way?

Re: TBS6618 - does not work with linux driver under Ubuntu 1

@cduerr it's hard to tell why VDR doesn't lock for you based on the information you provided, but the problem with 'w_scan' is obvious - it's actually problem with your 'w_scan' build - as from your log it says "w_scan version 20121111 (compiled for DVB API 5.6)". so, i'm suggesting to try...

Re: Can't use more than 1 tuner

based on what you wrote here: http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/tbs-6984-cant-use-more-than-1-tuner.116469/page-2#post-965911 it seems to me like some MediaPortal bug. actually, i believe that MediaPortal is doing something that cuts the LNB power on the other tuners and that's why for examp...

Re: Installing 6984 in Fedora 18

hmm, i don't see any mistake even in the first driver installation attempt - i mean you follow the READMEs by the letter and everything is properly done and that's why i have no idea why it failed, but reinstalling it second time seems to help - please, note that i doubt "make distclean" a...
