Re: CI+ Module

ok, let's try to actually increase the rate-limit rather than decrease it, the code\: case 0x60: if (state->mode != 5) { printk("tbsci: Initializing TBS 6928 v12 CI slot\n"); state->mode = 3; data = 0; tbsci_i2c_write(state, 0xd0, &data, 1); data = 0; tbsci_i2c_write(state, 0xcc, &...

Re: TBS 5220: tbs5220fe - tuner command is not responding

please, give us some more information: 1) you say " Everything is running fine, but after a couple of hours (or minutes) i get following error:" - is it working after the error starts happening or after that is no longer working? 2) you mentioned you use it on "synology diskstation DS...

Re: CI+ Module

first thing to try is check if the default rate-limit is active and disable it, the steps for that are: 1) without having signal lock, i.e. even without cables attached to the LNB inputs of your TBS card and without CAM inserted, run 'dvbtraffic' to confirm there is output from that command and you ...

Re: CI+ Module

Igor, when CI+ CAM is inserted in CI slot, then it works in backward compatible mode, which means it's exactly as regular CI CAM. so, if your subscription smart-card doesn't require CI+ (as the example you gave with Astra HD+ and certified hardware) then it can work in any CI CAM that uses the same ...

Re: No hardware present

yes, i have Asrock B75M motherboard and all TBS cards (because 6618 uses the same PCIe interface as the rest) work in all PCIe slots on that motherboard - connect to the CPU directly or not. the only thing necessary is to set "PCIe Link Speed" in BIOS manually to prevent auto-detection fro...

Re: No hardware present

unfortunately, that sounds to me like the PCIe interface on your 6618 developed some fault, it has nothing to do with your previous issue and it's just coincidence. so, at this point the only possible step is to send that card back for replacement.

Re: Strong Artefacts - Questionable SNR and high BER

at least now one thing is for sure - it's not fault of your previous 6985 card, because the new one experiences the exact same trouble and before that for months 6985 was working good for you. of course, there is always an option that currently something in your setup just immediately damages the 69...

Re: TBS Drivers failing on ubuntu kernel 3.2.0-58

that's not fault of our drivers - it seems like I2C support in your kernel is disabled. so, rebuild your kernel with I2C support enabled.

Re: Strong Artefacts - Questionable SNR and high BER

if it was working for you fine and now it's not then most likely it's some hardware fault that has occurred - as you mentioned you checked your signal with your set-top-box. that's why measuring any statistics with the card is not that useful, especially if the card is faulty. also, "tbs6985fe ...
