Can't install on Windows 7

Received new Windows 7 64-bit PC today.

Installed latest drivers for TBS 8920 from TBS website, but card not recognised.

Uninstalled, rebooted and manually updated driver for unrecognised device. No joy.

How do I install TBS8920 in Windows 64-bit PC ?

BTW, this tuner card was working normally on my previous Windows Vista PC.

Hi

Would you mind checking again that TBS8920 is ok on your previous Windows Vista PC.
and can you change another PCI slot to have a test.

Thanks

Last night I eventually got it working. Took about 4 hours !

The 'key' for me was to disable the device, uninstall any TBS programs, reboot, install drivers from CD (rather than latest drivers).

However, PC was turned off overnight. Switched on today and device not found again.

Took a number of attempts this morning again to get it working again.

Hope this doesn't happen again on next reboot - otherwise product will be sent back to amazon. Shame, as when it works, I like it.

Haven't swapped PCI slot or tried in older PC with Vista.

So annoying !

Rebooted, device lost.

Can't reinstall. The 'trick' doesn't work now.

Will have to be returned. Can't spend 2 hours every day trying to get the card installed.
