Choppy Playback

Hello,

I have purchased and set up an Acer Revo r3700 on Windows 7 x64 using the Q-Box S2 to watch live tv from Freesat in the UK on Windows Media Centre.

However after going to his expense, I have noticed that the picture becomes choppy every few minutes and is especially noticeable on news tickers, live sports etc.

I do not get any problems when playing back 1080p youtube clips etc and the Revo should be powerful enough for the playback of the live content.

Could anyone advise me on any solution to this problem? Short of buying a new PC to use an internal DVB-S2 tuner I am not sure of what to do.

Thank you,

Hi

Would you mind use DVBDream or TBSView to have a test.

Thanks

Which codecs are you using? I found WMC would not play HD due to audio codec issues. Try another application, as requested.

I have same problem on linux using latest drivers from tbsdtv.com site.
i am sure is not software problem ! because i have tested with all players (mplayer, xine, vlc, and "vdr with xineliboutput or streamdev-server" )
for more info, the dvb SNR signal is 90%.

any solution ? or should send back ?
