driver problem under Windows XP?

Postby fraham » Mon Oct 17, 2011 12:59 am

Hello,

i have some questions about the driver and dbsview...

my System: Windows xp 32 bit with SP3, codec pack XP

first the driver:

The device manger shows only the "QBOX DVB-S2 BDA"-device but there is not the capture-device, that described in the user manuals for the installation.
Is this correctly or not?

i ca install older or newer drivers. but it is allway the same...

Now the other problem:

tbsview will not find the Q-Box S2 as device. There is no device found...
So i can't use this viewer.

but DVB dream list the DBA device as QBox-S2 and it's works perfect.

What is the problem, that tbsview will not find the Q-Box S2?

(sorry, my english ist not the best...)

regards

Update:

i had installed the follow applications in parallel to check the functionality and stability on my system:
- TBSview
- progDVB
- DVBdream

TBSview will not recognice the Q-Box S2 device.
progDVB runs verry slow and freeze by the free scan. CPU runs with 100%.
DD is the most stable application on my system. CPU runs under 90%, most time by 35%.

Now i have deleted TBSview and progDVB ang get a new problem:

Before i deletad the two applications the picture resulution was OK. I could switch the resulutions adjust manual or automatically by VMR.
Now i can't adjust the scale for the TV-picture... The left and right side of a 16/9 picture are cropped to a resulution of 4/3.

I can not find where i also can set the resulution to VMR.
I have searched in the codec settings. But there ist also no reaction.
So i have also looking to the settings of the driver of the graphic s card.

So i have installed the XP codec pack to get other codecs to use...

All without success.

What is the problem? What can i do to get the right resulutions of the TV-picture?
Has anyone have any advice for me?

regards

(sorry for my bad english)

new update:

The problem with the picture was a codec problem.

I deleted the XP codec pack and have installed the tsunami codec pack. Now the picture is correctly displayed and swap automatical between 4:3 and 16:9.

Hi,
My problem launched after i suddenly unplugged the antenna plug(wire) when I was adjusting antenna for a higher signal. But after that my device can not be recognized by win XP completely.I mean after long time i could install driver but with error sometimes with error code10 and sometimes with error of Unknown usb device and malfunction device error.
I also tested it on Win7 and Vista on laptop but the same error.
I updated my driver but the same error appears yet.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled all universal usb but no results.
I do not know any way to solve this problem.
After plug the antenna the Red LED light start flashing every 3 seconds and computer speed gets slow, CPU goes higher and ...
After unplugging antenna Red and Green LED lights lock on.
I found no email addresses to contact you directly.
Please help me I am so frustrated.
