TBS6285 and IOMMU enabled systems

Postby bpbastos » Mon Feb 23, 2015 10:34 pm

I'm dealing with this problem for months, trying every setting possible but I can't get my TBS 6285 working if I have intel_iommu=on and vt-d enabled in bios.

In fact, the card works for 20 ~ 50 minutes, but suddenly it stops to get signal and no longer works. No error messages in dmesg, the only thing I could notice is interrupt count at /proc/interrupt stops as soon as the error occurs.

If I disable vt-d in bios and remove intel_iommu from grub the card works beautifully, but I need iommu enabled to use it for virtualization with kvm.

My setup is the follow:

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1245V3
MOBO: Supermicro X10SAE-O
RAM: 16GB ECC
TV TUNER: TBS 6285
S.O: Arch linux - 3.18.6-1-ARCH
TBS Driver: 150130

Any help will be welcome.

Thanks
