I want show how works XBMC with VDR (how fast switch/zap channels)
With latest firmware 1.0.0.2 and VDR 2.1.3 with patches

Im also use this in adavcendsettings.xml of xbmc for disable bufforing LiveTV

In this test VDR worked on remote NAS server (so all comunication was over LAN)
and channels was crypted (not FTA)

I don't know what kind of plugin are you using in Matrix but XVDR is much more faster than VDR-ANSI ... so that plus changing the cache should be a bit more faster.
