Hi.

I am using 4 x TBS6985
Mumudvb

Is there any open software that can transcode 30 channels without killing the cpu i7 quad core 12GB ram.
Should i try and trancode Mpeg2-Ts to Mpeg4 for IPTV? If so what would be the maximum channels for transcoding?

On a side note i use mumudvb and stalker middle ware there is a 5 second delay in changing channel if i use dvblast there is no delay.
I know this is a TBS forum but have no idea where else to ask.
+ I will be spending even more mony on some tbs6985 tuners if i get everything working right.

bitrate will be more of a factor. Ive never tried to transcode multiple streams at once but I hear nvidia is quite good at it.

I doubt you will get 30 channels transcode in realtime with usable bitrate.
