recording within windows 10

Hi Guys
with the onset of windows 10 looming and Microsoft removing media centre has anyone found a good alternative to replace it

Maybe you can have a try with Mediaportal which is a good Media Center.

thanks steve I will give it a bash sorry for delay in reply health reasons stopped me for a while
I have a full copy of win8.1 legal but have not installed it as ive read my card 6982 wont work in media centre

Hi willwf, I was testing ProgDVB to use with TBS cards. Looks like good, works with satellite cards and IPTV and media. I'm not sure if it can be used as a replacement of windows media, but you can try it.

What about Kodi / XBMC for Windows?

Yes, Kodi/XBMC too, but It doesn´t use dvb card by it self. You need other device to serve signals to kodi.
