OpenELEC 6.0.0 install question

As I stated previously, the file on the Matrix TV web site , "Matrix TV for Matrix V2.1 hardware", also works for me. But this download also contains an early version of Openelec. Guess there are not many users out there of my TBS2910 V2.3 that are trying to install the latest Kodi V15.2. I see no way to use an .img file to accomplish my goal since this file type does not contain a MfgTool2 file.
When the TBS2910 is in update mode it does not appear as an external drive. I have used a window based computer as well as the linux based program "Parted Magic" to confirm this. Therefore I assume that the MfgTool2 file. is sending the program information serially into the units on-board memory.
If you or anyone else knows how to load the TBS2910 V2.3 using a .img file please let me know.

I provide openelec as image to burn sd card for example. Obviously not very usable for most of you (only for me it seems).

BUT there is also tar file with mfgtool inside. What else do you want from me? If this version doesn't work I really don't know why not. Attach serial console and check if you get something on it. If you don't have serial console again I really can't help you. Don't have magic ball which would tell me what the problem is :(

I will continue to look for a way to download a Kodi V15.2 .img file , which i have found, into the Matrix TPS 2910 V2.3.

I will also try to find a version of Kodi v15.2 containing a MfgTool2 file. So far my research has not turned up such a file.
As far as I can tell no one has generated one but may do so in the future. I do not have the necessary skills at present, to do so.

The Raspberry PI 2 seems to be a better choice at present as they have a .img file containing Kodi that works.
I am beginning to regret buying this Matrix V2.3 as the necessary software support does not seem to be available.

The Matrix V2.3 should have been designed like the Raspberry PI 2 that boots from an SD card loaded with the desired program. This MfgTool2 business is a pain.

It was great chatting and thanks for your assistance.

I really don't understand what you want. If you open link https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... aring#list you can see file OpenELEC-imx6.arm-6.0.0-matrix.tar.
When you unpack it you will see folder MfgTool2-TBS-Matrix and batch file MfgTool2-reinstall.bat which puts OpenELEC to internal eMMC storage. This works at least on my device. And I'm sure I'm not alone.

If this doesn't work for you then I don't know what is wrong.
But if you are not capable to double click this bat file then I really can't help you anymore.

This file, as you know, loads for me but gives a blank screen for some reason. The load time is maybe 1/4 the load time of the "Matrix TV for Matrix V2.1 hardware" file on the Matrix web site which does work.

I think there is something wrong with the file or my hardware version is not compatible with it.

Just so you know XBMC V13 Gotham does work and is a much better version than the OpenElec 6.0.0 version but it is still not the latest version which is Kodi V15.2. I have added the Gotham link below.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxZbVn ... ef=2&pli=1

My problem is the following:

Need a copy of Kodi V15.2 containing a MFGtool2 file.
I assume you do not have one or a link to one but maybe someone on this forum does.

Kodi bought out XBMC .
XBMC V13 Gotham
Kodi V14 Helix
Kodi V15.2 Isengard

This is the progression. Openelec 6.0.0 is an early version of XBMC.

OpenELEC-imx6.arm-6.0.0-matrix.tar has Kodi 15.2-02e7013. You can update with some other builds with newer Kodi if you find them. But even OpenELEC 6.0.1 has same version.

Anyway, I'm done here. So much waste of time for nothing.

It is 15.2 which is stable. Jarvis is RC only.
