New TVHeadend *UNSTABLE* version: 4.1-2211

Postby costan » Tue Aug 30, 2016 9:58 pm

Hello,

the last TVH *UNSTABLE* version.

I did not have the chance to test it on my box, ATM I don't have it available.

NEW VERSION: 4.1-2211

Instruction almost the same as the other thread viewtopic.php?f=164&t=9352 (just replace -new with -4.1).

Pointer:

http://www.costan.org/moiplus/README-4.1.txt

Indeed I had no chance to test it, so use at YOUR OWN RISK.

Let me know if it works, anyway :)

Thanks,

Currently it's already more stable than 4.0.9, currently no restarts needed ...
I will update post with longer running result.

Thanks for a job well done. :)
A week back I made the update to 4.1-2211 and still works perfectly.
There was no need to restart and looks reliable.
The previous version was 4.0.8, I often had to restart, can not identify what it was,
but stopped communicating by decoding through OSCAM.
OSCAM is a chapter in itself. Sometimes it does not load the access card reader via USB SmartReader V2,
the log displays the error card, but after several restarts will catch, but this is not a problem here.

I've also an OSCam recente binary compiled by myself.

I'll put in the web host and create a topic for the OSCam installation.

Hi,

Can you add pcscdevice (normal smart card reader) suppoort for oscam ?
Currently running oscam on windows computer, because i'm too dumb to install pcsc support for MOI+ ....

This version TVHeadend work without problems since you released it.
Only problem i have is that 760mhz MUX channels will switch at least 15sec, i suspect that is DVB-T drivers related ...

The OSCam binary:

http://www.costan.org/moiplus/oscam-svn11272

This also have the EMU inside, the Softcam.key file should be in the same path as oscam.conf (/usr/local/etc).

About the smartcard reader support, I think I need to prepare also the libraries for MOI+ before compiling OSCam.

Just try this one and let me know if this works (besides of the smartcard reader).

EDIT: Corrected link to right version

Super, thanks a lot ..
I understood correctly, that is enough to rename the "oscam" and replace the original in /usr/local/bin?
After running pops up an error:
FATAL: kernel too old
Segmentation fault

Here in the forum I found the oscam ver.9813, which I use for test. Launched without problems.
So I hope that I understand how to use properly.

I'm sorry but you do not have the experience of compilations, if need be.
Please advice about where to begin.

Thank you.
