1)
Why do you want ffmpeg in it?

You can cross compile ffmpeg and load it in the system. Perhaps the most straightforward solution. Otherwise you will have to build an uimage just for your needs.

AFAIK Matrix TV OS is based on this project: http://sourceforge.net/projects/openpctv/

With the official TBS 2910 here: http://sourceforge.net/p/matrixtv/code/ci/master/tree/

2) Open the channel with VLC and check its statistics
Current Media Information -> Statistics tab

ffmpeg is the best to convert to h264 and AAC . I want some solution inside to box to convert the stream .VLC or ffmpeg outside the box is a solution but it is an overhead for the pc when we convert it in large numbers.
SO was trying to get an option

For transcoding MOI Pro SoC (cpu) is way too low , it will allow you to transcode a maximum of 2 or channels but in this case you won't be able to use the other ones.

The optimal solution is to get yourself an ST100 transcoding machine from TBS it will allow you to transcode and optimise channel sent with the MOI Pro

* There is a limit for the number of pipelines which can be run simultaneously, for high resolution input files, at most two for 1080p and four for 720p.
