Hi cilindro

Please have a try remove the older setting folder then try again.

rm -rf /\(null\)/.hts/tvheadend/
rm -rf /root/.hts/tvheadend/

Thanks

Kind Regards

Hi cilindro

Please have a try like this:

1.#rm -rf /usr/share/tvheadend
#rm -rf /root/.hts/tvheadend/
#rm -rf /\(null\)/.hts/tvheadend/

2.#opkg install tvheadend_4.0.5 ********

3. #vi /lib/systemd/system/tvheadend.service
change ExecStart=/usr/bin/tvheadend -C to ExecStart=/usr/bin/tvheadend -C -g root -u root

4. #systemctl daemon-reload

Then it should be ok now ,this is just for new version of tvheadend. older version do not need do this.

Thanks

Kind Regards

Hi,

I install this update on my moi pro as described above (i have 1.0.0.7 firmware, fresh image). Now tvheadend doesnt start on boot or from the main web interface, the only way is to ssh and run "tvheadend -C"

can you tell me how to fix this ? *EDIT* - didnt see above, will try that now

also, when is next firmware update including latest tvh due for release ?

Thanks,

in addition when running this upgraded 4.0.5, i can run 10 channels simultaneously with descramble for around 10 minutes, then all clients go black screen and this shows in the ssh session:

ok, ignore my error report above, that was before i implemented the fix very kindly offered above...

so tvheadend seems pretty stable, ive got 4.0.5 running, auto loads, i have 16 channels descrambling with newcamd client and all being processed by seperate transcode servers.. good !
I also set in the stream profiles, that timeout = 1 and ticked restart on error.

the ONLY problem I still have - every so often 2 or 3 of the channels (always seems to be the same ones) fail. In the tvh subscription status insteaed of showing 3 or 4 thousand kb/sec like normal they drop to 300. in the log shows a descramble error "access denied" but i know this is not true. also, after a minute or so the stream re-starts and all is good again.

This is the same problem I had before the upgrade but happens no where near as frequently, only a few channels instead of nearly all, and repairs itself unlike before, so im guessing this is still a bug in TVH.

Does anyone have any ideas ? is there an even more recent version of TVH that is known to solve this problem ? I know the original problem was a tvh bug as loads of people had reported it in their forums.

Please help !!

Thanks,
hatster

First you need to use cross compile tools to compile then you can using opkg command to install the
compiled version.
Cross compile tools:

steven,

do you have a short explanation on how to use this compiler & generate the opkg package? I badly need a new TVheadend version and would like to compile them myself.
