TBS 6281SE vs 6205 - Signal strength

TBS 6281SE vs 6205 - Signal strength

Postby speedyrazor » Thu Jun 21, 2018 3:55 am

Hi, I currently have a TBS 6281SE for use with DVB-C on Linux using the open source drivers. I do have some issue with signal strength compared to a DVB-C set-top-box, where the set-top-box recieved achnnels with no issues I find that with some channels the TBS 6281SE glitches or does not receive the channel at all. So I was considering an upgrade to a TBS 6205, and wondered if this card has beteer chipset, or would offer a better signal strength compared to the TBS 6281SE?
Any thoughts please?

Kind regards.

Hi speedyrazor

For 6281SE and 6205 the different is the are using different PCI-E bridge ,the tuner and demo they are using the same

For your case can you have a try change the PCIE slot let the card away from CPU and GPU .

Thanks

Kind Regards
