Hello guys,

I received this card as replacement for my 6285 but it is missing the identification in the firmare.

what firmware ? you must update TBs linux drivers.

Sorry, I think I haven't made myself clear. The card is working ok I just found strange that it doesn't show any description using the lspci command.

With the TBS 6285 it shows "03:00.0 Multimedia controller [0480]: Philips Semiconductors SAA7160 [1131:7160] (rev 02)".

This information resides in the card firmware or at the linux kernel?

Sorry for the newbie question.

The information is part of Linux. I think they update from the list found here:-

http://pciids.sourceforge.net

(the vendor '544d' does not exist in the current list)
