maximum signal level

Postby mustang01 » Thu Dec 12, 2019 5:53 am

Hello,
I have a TBS 6909-X card. I have a problem with satellite signal has such parameters :
Code: Select All Code
Layer A: Signal = 76.08% C / N = 72.57%
Lock (0x1f) Signal = -24.19dBm C / N = 14.50dB
.
Suddenly the picture disappears for a few minutes or pixelized.

What is the maximum signal level for TBS 6909-X heads?
I have the impression that sometimes the signal can overdrive the heads, the highest value I recorded on the DVB-S2 meter is 90 uVdB and MER 14.2 dB.

I have a 120 cm plate and a quattro converter. An example TV program with which I have a problem is on 11449 H 13 HB9 Europe DVB-S2 8PSK 27500 3/4.

VDR 2.2 with vdr-vnsiserver. I watch in Kodi 18.5 with the vdr-vnsi plugin.
The signal strength shows the command "dvb-fe-tool -a 4 -m" with v4l-utils-1.16.6, because it displays in units of dB.

I used dvblast on the TELE 5 FTA channel and the signal did not change to more than 0.5% ("/ usr / local / bin / dvblast -f 11662000 -s 27500000 -v 13 -m psk_8 -a 4 -5 DVBS2"). I didn't have a player that opened the stream from dvblast, so I didn't see TV.
I also tried to run DVBlast on the paid transponder "11449" ("/ usr / local / bin / dvblast -f 11449000 -s 27500000 -v 13 -m psk_8 -a 4 -5 DVBS2") but found no signal.

Now I have restarted vdr and kodi and the signal on the same channels is also stable. Someone turned off the distortion?

Hi Sir

You mean it is stable now ? for dvblast you can output as unicast or multicast then you can use VLC to play .

Thanks

Kind Regards

Today I was able to install VLC. I can't configure dvblast to see the image on VLC.

Today the no signal message in vdr has returned. I changed the satellite converter to a new one from another company. The knocks are stable and the signal does not disappear, but there will be partial blur of the pixels on the screen.
On my meter DVB-S2 shows 87 uVdB and MER 15.6 dB. In the dvb-fe-tool program there is "Signal = -25,32dBm C / N = 14dB".

Hi

Please have a try like this :
/ usr / local / bin / dvblast -f 11662000 -s 27500000 -v 13 -m psk_8 -a 4 -5 DVBS2 -U -u -d 192.168.8.10:1234

then dvblast will send all MPTS to this IP and port 192.168.8.10:1234
in VLC please input the ULR like this : udp://@192.168.8.10:1234

you can change the IP and port to your PC IP and port

Thanks

Kind Regards
