TBS6903X Pixelating and Freezing

Postby Babadem » Sun Jun 09, 2024 1:46 pm

I'm using TBS6903X card on Windows 10, and I have noticed to my dismay that all CBand transponders are Pixelating /Macroblocking. The KU Band aren't affect at all by this problem. The same CBand signals play perfectly well on both the Edision MIO 4K and the Octagon SF8008 STB receivers. The pixelation totally freezes the channel, and sometimes putting the audio out of sync. I have the latest CBand 5G RED Filtered LNBf (performance Plus) and the original 5G RED. I have even updated to the latest TBS6903X latest driver ver.2004 and yet the issues persist! This interference also affects the signal quality and levels. I have done all kinds adjustments to my system, including doing power management adjustment to my PB's BIOS, yet nothing works! How can this issue be resolved?

Where can we find the release notes for what was added, removed or modified on the current TBS6903x_release_v2004 drivers? What's the advantage of the new over the old TBS6903x_release_v2003

This is the entire spectrum from 3800 to 4200. It doesn't matter which transponder it is, but some are worse than others.

A few examples:
99.2°W
4120 H 30000; 8PSK; FEC 9/10; SNR 12.8 to 14.3
4141 V 31547; 8PSK; FEC 3/4; SNR 10.5 to 12.5

97.0°W
4028 V 6111; QPSK; ; FEC 3/4; SNR 13.9.14.5
4080 V 34285; 16APSK; FEC 2/3; SNR 12.1 to 13.1
4120 V 34285; 16APSK; FEC 25/36; SNR 12.3 to 12.6

Note I don't have any issues on my regular STBs and KU band signals.

Even with the latest release of V2005, the problem is still there!!

By the way, why are there no release notes with all your updates. It would be nice to know what updates and changes are made to your released updates.

some parameter is not righ. and some of those are data feed.
4141 V 31547; 8PSK; FEC 3/4; ==> try to 4140 V 31450; 8PSK; FEC 3/4;
4120 V 34285; 16APSK; FEC 25/36; ==> try to 4120 V 30000 8PSK 5/6

This is just a sample of all of the errors from Frequencies 3800 to 4200 both H & V polarities on all CBand satellites. There are no issues with KU Band.

As I stated earlier, using Octagon SF8008, the CBand Signals display videos without issues, but the TBS6903X as shown earlier displays frozen and broken up videos and crackling audio with many continuity errors. See Octagon SF8008 Screenshots attached below:

Same signal streamed from Octagon SF8008 to VLC, and play perfectly without breaking up.
