Is there any way to make this support 4k60 input, but still only encode 30fps. This would make interoperability with most content much easier. Essentially, support HDMI 2.0 EDID and input.

I did find an alternative to adding this feature. Orei makes a pretty inexpensive $129 (HDMI 2.0b 18Gbps) scaler with frame conversion! It will take 4k60 and downscaled to 4k30, 4k50, and 4k25. I put it upsteam of the TBS 2604 and it worked like a charm. It has an OSD or RS232 support to change resolutions and EDID. You can get it at Amazon.

I still would like to see 4k60 input support on the encoder, even if it only encodes at 4k30.

Hi,
The tbs2604's chip can not support 4k@60fps input, it only can capture 30fps, we plan an other product upgrade to support 4k@60fps in the future, please pay attention on it.

What is the status of this "new" unit that I am paying attention to. Orei has as discontinued their frame conversion until so if I burn it out there will be no work around.
