Diseqc issue

I have a tbs5520se that is connected to a diseqc 4 ways.
My diseqc broke, i change it with a technosat 4 ways, but now my card cannot drive the diseqc.
It is stuck on one diseqc entry. How can this be? Are they some signal level issue?
Interestingly, the card can drive a 2 way diseqc.
My 4 way diseqc is working fine as i can drive it with antbs5927.
Any idea?
Thanks.

Hi Ericed1965,

maybe there is really a signal issue. How do you power your tbs5520se?

You could also try to use the dvb-apps / dvb-utils instead of a fancier frontend like tvheadend to test things out.

I managed to get a multytenne with 4 lnb and diseqc working, but I need to change the ~10m cables and powering the tbs5520se with an external 1 A power supply.

At least be sure your diseqc configuration is correct. You could try to repeat the diseqc commands and also to send full diseqc commands.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply.

As I have 2 technomate 4 way switches, one connected to a tbs5927 the other to the tbs5520se, I did a switch of the cables.
Then I tested with dvbblast, and the problem is following the tbs5520se!

So conclusion is that it is the tbs5520se that cannot drive the diseqc...for some reasons. What is weird is that it could drive my 20 years old diseqc (it can still do it, but one port is broken on it).

I do not have any extra power for the tbs5520se, It is through the USB cable. Wondering about your 1A power supply, you mean power supply the USB of the tbs5520se? (the tbs5927 has an external powersupply)!)

I have also order another diseqc from another brand.....waiting for it.

I have tried with an external USB power supply, same issue.
The diseqc is still stuck on one entry.

Any other suggestion will be appreciated.

I and as minimum one man has same problem with DISEqC 2.0 switch and nothing helps too.
But I have 4-way DISEqC 1.1 switch (I had to buy it for my Technisat SkyStar 2.6 - it wasn't stable switching with DISEqC 2.0 too) and TBS 5520SE is switching it perfectly.
I hope it's driver (not hardware) issue will be corrected in a future...

HI
Whether your signal cable is connected to other loads, except the diseqc? such as multiswitch. if it has, maybe this is the problem. because the driving ability of 5520se sending the 22k is weak.
so advise, the signal cable do not through any other loads. direct connet the lnb and diseqc.

Best regards
