This bug in driver, incorrect init ter/cable tuner. CS2 + streamreader reinit and next driver can tune in conventional apps.

angelsevov Wrote:hi guys,
i have TBS6983 and TBS6522 and tbs6220 installed on my MacPro (Windows 7x64)
i just started to test the TBS6522 and the first thing
that i saw TBS6983-tuners high sensitivity (or it is a driver issue and TBS6522 needs better driver) Strange thing with SNR levels. Check screenshots. EBSpro have a little bit problem with TBS6522…

what i’ve done….

Installed TBS6522 driver 1.0.0.2 from TBS

TBS6522 DVB-S/S2 on DVBViewer and DVB Dream doesnt work and channel scan gives 0 channel(s)

[they do see the transponder and LOCK is ok but scan gives me 0 channels. Signal quality 80/90]

update: i uninstalled SDRplay drivers (it uses BDA-interface, can it be the cause of this strange problem?). And now it works. founds channels. Transedit works too.

TBS6522 DVB-T/T2 function: no luck… it sees the signal but scan gives 0 channels. on Both DVB-T and DVB-T2. Tried with DVBviewer and DVB Dream and Transedit.

(PS: tbs6220 works perfect under all applications with this driver “TBS6220 DVB-T2/T Windows Driver V1.0.1.2” all those (DVBViewer, DVB Dream and Transedit) sees that there is a DVB-T2 tuner in present. installing “TBS6220 DVB-T2/T/C Combined Driver V1.0.1.2.” brokes functionality. LOCK is ok, no channels under DVBViewer, DVB Dream and Transedit.

Uninstalled all drivers (tbs6983,tbs6522 and TBS6220). Removed TBS6220 from computer.
Left tbs6983 and tbs6522.. Installing first driver for tbs6522 and left tbs6983 without driver. Trying tbs6522 DVB-S/S2.. Oups now it is broken again. Same problem [there is transponder and LOCK is ok but scan gives me 0 channels. Signal quality 80/90]

No luck with DVB-T/T2 function (what is the problem :S).

Peon, i already saw that video so long time ago.. i dont have problem with DVB-S/S2. Cant try dvb-C thing but i know that dvb-t2 does not work. As you see "Flomebul" in this thread have also problem with dvb-t2 . I believe that something is just not right with the BDA driver. Cause as "Flomebul" writes, it works under crazyscan2 with valid frequnecy.

Question about TBS 6522 in Windows 7 PC. Does Multistream PLS work with DVBdream or Altdvb for today ?

Directly: no, because MIS+PLS are not supported in Windows drivers, but You can try to set MIS+PLS in CrazyScan and then try to lock signal with other app.
Be aware that 6522 is not designed as professional card, but as multistandard - 6903 is professional model (but without DVB-S2X), so don't expect from 6522 possibilities like 6903.

PS: @steven - do You plan to update 6522 drivers with native MIS+PLS and TBS BlindScan support? I understand that 6522 is rather basic model, but this would be nice addition and great gift from TBS to use all 6522 hardware powers ;)

Flomebul Wrote:Hello all,

I also have a TBS6522 under Windows 10 64bits and have the driver 1.0.0.2 as well. But the DVB-T:T2 does not work so well...

If I try to scan the frequencies with standard viewer ("Team Media Player" or "DVBViwer Pro demo" or "DVB Dream v2.7.7 OEM") it is impossible to found any signal. :o

But, is I use first "CrasyScan2" for standard scan + scan one valid frequnecy, then the driver look like to be well initialized... I'm now able to scan and found all the TV channels with any of standard viewer... :P

Propably that there is something missing withe the driver :?: :?: :?:

Could you try the same on your side ?

Regards

Try DVBDream or SmartDVB and a new driver. It works without any problems. http://www.tbsiptv.com/download/tbs6522 ... .0.0.3.zip
TBS 5925, TBS 5927, TBS 6522, TBS 6903, TBS 6983, Prof Revolution 7301,

And other "iron" for DX reception.

TBS 6522 tests

Postby sato » Sun Nov 06, 2016 7:44 pm

Because there are multiple requests about the Multistream reception, Peon was so kind to provide a quick guide how to receive Multistreams with TBS 6522. Well, this can be apllied to any TBS card that supports this feature.....

We personally prefer to use DVB Dream (paid version) or Smart DVB (free version) as a player.

1) First select "CrazyCat BlindScan Device 1.0.2.8" in DEVICEs
2) Just add whatever number is required to "SubStreamID" before scanning the frequency
3) Scan and save all channels found

SubStreanID can be found on lyngsat.com or flysat.com.
If there is a need to add PLS + Root, just enable PLS and add required numbers.
Those numbers can be found on dedicated web sites such as lyngsat, flysat or satellitescommunity.de provided by their members Otherwise use CrazyScan to do the job even it may take some time as the code may be between 1 - 255000. TBS 6522 CAN DO THAT! PLS search under Win XP is faster...Win 7 is slower. Neither of us use Win 8, 8.1 or 10.

You can also check Rai Piemonte: http://www.lyngsat.com/Eutelsat-5-West-A.html -> 11675 H where PLS code is GOLD 131070 and Stream 7 to try this combination as it`s always good to start at some point and see how things work.

TBS 6522 tests

Postby sato » Sun Nov 13, 2016 4:50 am

Along with a few other satellite projects that are currently in progress, we still keep testing all TBS cards as we go along.
One may say, it`s not a big deal to do such tests. Well, good and relevant tests take lots of time, patiente and effort. But as you can see, it pays off!

TBS 6522 - sensitivity tests.

If TBS 6983/6903 are great, TBS 6522 sets a new limit!
Those tests have been done several times, the player was completely closed down and open when a device was switched. DVB Dream was used for Prof 7301 because the latest version of Smart DVB causes Prof to crash. But on the end of the day it doesn`t change anything on the fact that there`s only one card that could fully and freeze free provide picture and sound on this station/transponder.

Pictures say it all.

And I will quote myself - PLS and MIS are now supported directly in drivers with new driver 1.0.1.0 (released oficially just today ;) )

Please help me with 6522 because it is very slow. Blindscan takes hours with Blscan and EBSpro lite . How to make it scan faster? What to use to blindscan faster ? Crazycat Can you help ?

It seems not to work correctly with crazyscan with the latest driver.

I have tbs 6522 latest diver 1010 with Windows 7 64bit.

There is also bug with the latest driver and dvbdream. When you try scan many frequencies in one go with dvbdream it is scanning only the first one all the time. It is connected with adding multistream support in the latest driver and dvbdream wants to find all substreams.
