Hi,

Am I able to have a TBS6980 and a TBS6981 installed in the same home theatre PC with no issues? Would be running them using DVBViewer/DVBLink etc under Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

hi, there shouldn't be any problems to do that - 6980 and 6981 are completely independent from each other - even their drivers are different.

I have just installed this combination and it doesn't seem to work for me. I've had the tbs6980 for some months, now. it's been working great with dvbviewer. now, i bought a tbs6981 to be able to use my htpc with a quad lnb.
the drivers are installed succesfully. dvbviewer shows all 4 tuners in its hardware options but it cannot initialize them to tune in a channel.

any help would be appreciated.

btw: it's a windows 7 x64 system.

if you use driver versions 2.0.0.14 for 6980 and 6981 there shouldn't be any compatibility issues when both cards are installed in the same computer and if you have some troubles then it's something else for sure. if you give more details, perhaps i can help.
