Latest x86 Win7 driver & manual

Postby threads » Tue Jul 06, 2010 9:44 am

Hello,

Just wondering what is the latest x86 Win7 driver? I have...
Is the 2.0.0.1 released?

Also wondering if anyone has an electronic version of the manual for this PCI-e card? I've scoured the internet and been unable to find one. Even from the TBS site...

http://www.tbsdtv.com/english/Download.html :(

Thanks

:)

for 1.0.0.x the latest version is actually 1.0.0.14, because 1.0.0.15beta was just the test version with additional fixes to version 1.0.0.13 and that's why 1.0.0.14 became the new stable version, i.e. 1.0.0.14 is the 1.0.0.13 with added the fixes from 1.0.0.15beta after they were tested

no, 2.x driver architecture is in latest stage of testing it will be released soon. so, all 2.x drivers for TBS 6980 are just beta versions, but people use them with good success

i don't know the answer here and i also need to check, but if you have some specific question - i believe it would be faster just to ask here.

Wow that is confusing. 14 is really 15 with the bugs fixed? Where's the original 14 gone? I thought version numbers were always sequential. (At least they are in the development shop I work in).

If 14 is the stable release, where do u get it? I can't find a link on the product page here: http://www.tbsdtv.com/english/product/6980.html or on the downloads page here: http://www.tbsdtv.com/english/Download.html

Any idea of expected release dates?

Oh darn it .. I always like to have an electronic version of the manual. I tend to keep all electronic hardware manuals in the same place. It also enables u to be able to search within them. No real specific questions ATM.

Thanks for the quick replies tho' Cody. :)

while .13 was the stable version, the new test version was called .15, exactly with the idea to make .14 the next stable version. it's maybe kind of confusing, but that is how it was done.

    Hi Cody,

Sorry to be a pain. I've installed 1.0.0.14 but now I'm experiencing the sleep problem okbet outlined here...
    viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2

When I resume my media PC after being on standby the receiver doesn't seem to start correctly. I don't think this is video driver related as the video comes back fine. If I restart the Windows Media Centre Receiver service the tuner seems to come back ok.

Should I try a different driver? Will the new 2.0.0.1 driver fix this?

    Thanks for your help.

hi, it seems it's Microsoft bug and you can workaround it with just automatically restart their process, there are some solutions how to do it in the same forum thread you mentioneds: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2

    Hi Cody,

I wondering if there was any sign of the new drivers being released? You mentioned above that they were expected to be released by the end of July.

    Thanks,

    John,

John, new driver is released, but i need to check why the website is not updated - it seems we burnt it on the new batch of installation CDs for TBS 6980, but of course current users have no way to have such CD.

    Thanks Cody,

If it's going to be a problem to update the website, u couldn't upload it to Rapidshare (or similar) for now could u? Are there release notes included that detail the fixes?

    Thanks so much. :D

    John.
