Hi all

TBS6910 - TBS6910 DVB-S2 Dual Tuner Dual CI HD Satellite PCIe TV Card, for Pay-TV

TBS6991 - TBS6991 DVB-S2 Dual Tuner Dual CI PCIe Card

TBS6590- TBS6590 DVB-S2 Dual Tuner PCIe Card

Anyone tell me the difference between these PCIe cards, I know some are out of production but seem to be available for sale on some sites.

Thanks!

6590 is not only satellite, it is multistandard, it is possible to switch one tuner to other standard (terrestrial DVB-T/T2, cable DVB-C/C2 or some others). This card is also able to receive DVB-S2X satellite transmissions.

6910 - no multistandard, no DVB-S2X, bit cheaper.

6991- old version of 6910, 6991 had itself two versions - 6991 and 6991SE.

6991 is out of production for a long time & out of support. You may run into troubles with drivers on new Windows versions. 6991 had drivers from 9 years ago & 6991SE from 7 years ago.

Thanks DVB for the quick reply, it looks like the TBS6590 is the way to go then, maybe you could advise if it is possible to install this into a Synology NAS that would accept a PCIe card, and have the appropriate Linux drivers, cheers.
