Hi Steven,
thanks for your reply
I tried both Ebs Pro and Crazyscan. I used also latest version of sreamreader.dll (problems with Ebs pro)
I have been using these tools for a long time with my Tbs 6922 (I have 3 cards, one not working anymore) and also with my 6902 and my 5980.
The new 6590 takes minutes and minutes to complete a blindscan2 mode scanning. It's terribly slow especially with symbol rate under 20.000 and higher frequencies (above 11700). My 6922 takes less then 2 minutes for the same scanning, the 6902 is fast the same. Even 5980 which doesn't support blinscan2 mode takes less time with blindscan1 mode (step by step).
Hope there could be a solution

Best regards

Marco

Hi
TBS6590 use different demodulation chip with 6922. and TBS6590's chip do not support the Blindscan. so it can not do a auick blind scan like 6922.

tbs6590 card work well with Crazyscan and EBS applications and I assure you it scans fast. Astra 19.2E in 46 sec on one polarity. Also, with DVB Dream player you can do blindscan with this card.
So there is no problem to work with this card with confidence.

Hi satesco, thanks for your kind reply and for your test.

RF scan on commercial satellites as Astra 19.2 and Hot bird 13.0 east is very fast also in my test. I think it's depend on signals (very high) and symbol rate (high too). Things changes if I scan eutelsat satellies (e.g. 7 and 10 east) searching for lower symbol rates (e.g. from 2.000 to 20.000). Expecially RF scan on high frequencies (above 12.000) is terribly slow.
Could you kindly test it?

Best regards

I scanned the two satellites you requested. The result is the one in the screenshots below.
Although CrazyScan provides full support for demod Si2183 based satellite devices (tbs6590.6522, etc.), generic/continuous streams are not lock it. Therefore, some 7.0E and 10.0E transponders do not appear on the spectrum.
On the other hand, it should be noted that the card specification mentions that the symbol rate is between 1-45Msps. So, they cannot receive below this value, although the tuner sees the signal, as you can see at 10.0E on 12609 V,256,1/2.
Because there are many high frequencies that have generic streams and low symbol rate (especially at 10.0E), RF scanning at both satellites is slow. So it's no surprise, it takes longer.
You also have to consider the scanning steps. For example, at 3.0 MHz steps the scanning time between 12500-12750 MHz at 10.0E is 2 min, while at 4 MHz it is 1.6 min.

Hi satesco, thanks

"Because there are many high frequencies that have generic streams and low symbol rate ...". What do you mean by "generic streams"?

Could you try Ebs Pro too? RF scan in high frequencies is really slow..

Here's what the generic/continuous stream looks like.
Useless to use EBS, because it depends on the demodulator to lock low symbol rate or generic streams, and less on the app.
