TBS 5927 driver not installed issue -error code 28

Postby Hamdan » Fri Jul 12, 2024 7:18 pm

Hi everyone.

I am using a tbs5927 since I bought it in 2019 with no problems but unfortunately several days ago it stopped working but the power light is on also the fan is working fine. when I launch TBS IP it does not show the device. The driver is already installed on my windows10 pc and it gives error code 28.

I tried many times to uninstall the driver and reinstall it again with no luck. I installed the latest version of driver1.0.0.7 it also didn't work and the device manager keeps giving this massage:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Hamdan.

Hello
if so ,it can not be rule out that the hardware is broken.
Could you give me the remote access to check it.send email to me Davin@tbsdtv.com

Thanks

I really don't understand what happened to the hardware. The device turns on normally with fan and power light are working but when i try to run TBS IP it says "Make sure you have installed the Virtual MPE Decoder Adapter Driver". I also tried to run it with other computers with same issue.

I think the hardware got a big issue and will not work anymore.

Virtual MPE Decoder Adapter Driver is part TBS IP. Maybe disabled in device manager.

I checked it in Network adapters, its enabled and works properly.
Even running the BDADataEx software is giving Error massage with BDA devices not found.

Thanks for the suggestion.

So device driver not loaded or blocked - maybe enabled Core isolation or Memory integrity in Device security ?

You can try self-signed debug driver and check debug messages with DbgView from driver

1.Unpack archive TBS5927-debug.rar
2. Enable test-mode and add my cert to trusted with testcert.cmd (Run as admin)
3. Run Dbgview and enable kernel logging (see picture)
DbgView.PNG

4. Force update 5927 debug driver from device manager, check DbgView messages on driver init (see my sample log)
