LNB B exhibits signal problem until system reboot

Postby fgt67 » Sun Nov 15, 2020 5:22 am

My TBS 6981 card has a weird issue with LNB B where there are continuous continuity errors until the system is rebooted. On a cold boot LNB B will not work and it will appear that the signal is extremely weak or badly grounded. Once the system is rebooted the tuner works and there are no problems. LNB A is unaffected and works every time although I have noticed that tuning to LNB B will sometimes interferes with it causing a momentary signal blip.

Is the card faulty or is this some driver/firmware issue? It will only work after a reboot straight after being powered on. I have tried the card in 3 different computers and all have the same problem and it's also not a problem with the dish/LNB or cable as that has worked fine with other tuners for years.

Hi Sir

From the information you provide looks the 6981 have hardware issue you can think about update the card to TBS6902:
