Is there a way to make the stream automatically adapt its settings to the encoding size/resolution and frame rate of the HDMI source signal?
Attached to my encoder is device that broadcasts in different formats (1080i30, 720p60 etc.). I'd like to output the stream in its original format but avoid changing settings manually through WebUI every time a format switch occurs.

This "auto" option of the encode size is means encoding the video as it's orignal resolution.

Yes, I noticed that option. But this only relates to the resolution, right?
How can the encoder be configured to adapt to the encoding frame rate of the input device? (It looks like the field requires a fixed rate to be entered with no "auto" option available.)

Yes, there are no "auto " in framrate, you need set it manully, see status->video parameters, to find thei nput fps and set it into encode framrate.
