Can you explain to me why it is needed/neccessary for DVBLink to get PMT table and DVBViewer don't need PMT table?

about these transponders,
Nederland 1 HD = 11856.00 V 27500 5/6
Nederland 2 HD = 11739.00 V 27500 5/6
Nederland 3 HD = 12129.00 V 27500 5/6
i check: http://www.lyngsat.com/astra23.html
all of them are encryption programs,PMT table only is necessary for decryption.i guess DVBviewer don't do decryption work now, so it needn't wait for pmt. of course, if dvbviewer do decryption work, it also need wait for PMT table.

thanks to lujo and vasvi, now i very know dvblink send right and enough information of transponder to tbs driver : )
almost all of tbs card work the same on lock transponder.form the following pic,we can see if ap pass right dvb type and signal is ok,locking transponder will be very fast,no more than one second.
tbs6921_altdvb.JPG

could you mind to lock the three transponders with altdvb? it is more accurately show lock time, and can help us locate the problem.

DVBViewer is also doing descryption work because I can see the picture. As plugin ACamd or Hadu.

I am now trying to get alt-dvb working.

It seems that with Alt-DVB I get "RawCmd: Not Suported"

Or is it me doing something wrong?

My motor is on 19,2E and I have scanned channels:

Alt-DVB 19,2E.jpg

When i try to scan channels on 23,5E I get still the transponders from 19,2E because motor didn't turned:

Alt-DVB 23,E - but still 19,2E.jpg

Is Diseqc 1.2 not working with Alt-DVB and TBS 6921?

[edit]
it seems that Diseqc is not functioning very well?
I also have tried TransEdit 3.7.1.0 and it seemd that doesn't matter if I select preset position or Angular position when I try to analyse 11856 transponder which is on both satellites (19,2 and 23,5) i get only Analyse of 23,5 because on that moment my motorized dish is at 23,5E satellite. When I select 19,2E to analyse 11856 transponder on 19,2E dich wont move....

With file from Crazysat (thank you)

This is my test for 23,5E on TBS 6921:

Signal test 23,5E HD transponders.png

This are the results with my another dvb-s2 card Prof 7300:

Signal test 23,5E HD transponders Prof 7300.png

It seems that prof 7300 is slower and prof 7300 finds for example 12605, H, 28500 transponder and TBS 6921 don't.

Please see also difference in signal quality. Why is that?

Another difference is when I am using TVSource with TBS 6921 and I am switching between satellites I get "Sorry there is no signal" messages. When using Prof 7300 it seems that I every time get choosen channel.

At this moment I am thinking that there is something wrong in the driver of TBS 6921 because on the same hardware with the same application TBS 6921 is not working 100% and Prof 7300 is working.

Disadvantage of Prof 7300 is that it takes about 12 seconds whan I am switching to HD channel. I think that is too long.

Another thing (if my information is true): prof dvb-s card has the same hardware as TBS. So Prof is buying their cards from TBS. The only difference is software/drivers. But I don't know if this is true.

Prof 7300 = TBS8920. Tuner/demod CX24118/CX24116 and PCI-bridge CX23883.
TBS6920 - Tuner/demod CX24118/CX24116 and PCIE-bridge CX23885.

TBS 8921,6921 based on similar IC's, but demod chip new TDA10071. Second generation demod from Conexant/NXP, DVB-S2 QPSK/8PSK up to 45Ks/s (first-generation CX24116 limit DVB-S2 SR=30000). So - must be better and faster :)
Your problems related most to drivers. So - wait driver updates.

Is this recognized by TBS as a problem (Diseqc 1.2 failing) and when can I expect new driver which should fix this problem?

Hi lujo
are you use the latest driver, and would mind to give me a pic about your LNB setting's value with DVBdream or atldvb, because microsoft BDA driver maybe send some wrong command,so i want to know what's your dvbdream LNB setting, and i will have a test.
Thanks

Hi Steven,

Yes, i am using 2.0.0.5 driver. With driver 2.0.0.4 I also had the same problems.

I have taken quickly printscreen of my Diseqc 1.2 settings:

Diseqc 1.2 settings.png

Do you need more info or do you want that I test with DVbdream?

With TVSource I use the same RAW values:

Hotbird 13,0 = E0 31 6B 01
Eurobird 15,8E = E0 31 6B 02
Astra 19,2E = E0 31 6B 03
Astra 23,5E = E0 31 6B 04
Astra 28,2E = E0 31 6B 05

Hi lujo
Have you try to use TBS IPTool to use Diseqc 1.2.just move it driver east or driver west.
TBS IPtool: http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/common/TBS_IP_TOOL_V3.0.2.5.rar

I have downloaded this tool and try to move dish.
Dish is moving with no problems. But also with TVSource or another application my dish is moving but the problem is that when is moved from one to another satellite that I cannot get TV picture.
With DVBViewer I will get picture (HD channels) but it takes about 15-16 seconds before I get picture. At that point my dish was moved 13-14 seconds ago.

Moving the dish seems no problem. The problem is that when it is moved that I don't get TV signal/picture in TVSource. The only sollution when moved from 19,2E to 23,5E is to change channel on the same satellite (on 23,5E) and go back to the previous channel on the same satellite (on 23,5E) to get picture.

With Prof 7300 it seems that everything is working. So I think this is driver issue. Is this correct?

I am using Windows Home Server (based on Windows Server 2003)
Gigabyte 740G motherboard
Athlon II X2 240e cpu
