What sensitivity compared to 5520SE or another cards?

I plan to buy such (namely I hope in nearest future 6902SE with two tuners instead of four in 6904SE) Montage-based tuner card for receiving weak feeds to replace my old OMICOM S2 PCI (new computers hasn't PCI interface and I don't want to use PCI-E <-> PCI converter) which is some more sensitive compared to 5520SE - i.e. OMICOM lets watch feed without artifacts while with 5520SE I see much square artifacts.

TBS6904SE uses Montage LZ M88RS6060 tuning chip, the SNR threshold will be significantly lower than TBS5520SE which uses Silicon Labs Si2183 tuning chip. And M88RS6060 is more stable than Si2183 in the case of lower SNR.

Simply put, signal reception is easier with the TBS6904SE as it only requires a weaker signal. So, go ahead with TBS6904SE.

However, if you need to lock carriers with symbol rates below 2000 Ksps, you should use Si2183. Because M88RS6060 does not perfectly support carriers with 2000 Ksps or lower symbol rates in many cases, and the specific performance is that the carrier can only be locked normally for a short period of time, then bit errors begin to appear.
