I am also using XP Pro 32 bit. So it's starting to look like the TSREADER soruce dll only works with the Window 7 64 bit.

I'd be curious to see a screenshot of the tuning window from those who have it working in W7. Ie are there any advanced tuner options, like to choose DVB-S2 instead of DVB, and or the various FEC values, or does it just automatically find the appropriate parameters or something. I'm new to using BDA sources with TSREADER, so I'm not sure if they show different controls in the tuning window. For example:

You can see that TSREADER recognizes the card, but is not in advanced mode. Besides the fact that you can't select DVB-S2, etc, this is important, because any DVB-S2 or other "advanced" transponders do not even show up in the transponder list. Only DVB transponders show up.

Below, I have clicked on the first transponder, which locks using CrazyScan, and works with other PC receiver cards with TSREADER, but you see that the TSREADER window comes up completely empty. At first, it says "reading PAT" down at bottom left, but then that goes away. It says that there is no lock, however it must have a lock of some kind, because it never comes back saying that it couldn't lock. It just sits there doing nothing.
In my case, however, it is not registering any signal level. Ie if I go into CHART-SIGNAL, the signal level just sits on zero.

Anyway, I hope that screenshots help, but it really seems to be something to do with XP-32 vs W7-64 .

Are you sure, your TP is really DVB (S or S2) ? may be that is Digicipher-2, DSS or something ?

For the normal DVB under WinXP I do not experience reception problems, just the lack
of Advanced Mode setting Menu..

I can't see any advanced settings either here. I only had to type the transponder main parameters (frequency, sr) in the box (since I do not have an updated transponders list in the TSReader), and it just locked to it. There was no need to set any DVB-S/DVB-S2 parameters for this one (11362,H,22000 DVB-S2/8PSK, on Astra 19.2E).

Yes, positive. Transponder is DVB. I've tried a dozen different transponders that Crazyscan, and other cards lock well.
I can't imagine what might be different about your setup.

I think you mentioned a version number for the .dll. How do you find that version number? The file listed in an earlier message in this thread is the same file I downloaded when I got my card about 11 days ago, dated something like June 20 I think. But I didn't see any version number on the file.

I have just the same DLL as yours, from this Forum topic (provided by steven).

You are using TSREADER Professional? I think the rest of us are using the regular version, I wonder if that might make a difference?

hi starman345,
yes, I have TSReader Professional version, but as you can see above satos65 has the Standard one,
and lock -S2 tp successfully as well. Should not be any difference related to your issue...
